Birdwatchers and the general public enjoy watching Canada geese, ducks, and other waterfowl - all valuable natural resources. In many areas of the country, however, populations of nonmigrating, or resident, Canada geese, and ducks are increasing dramatically.

We had our largest audience of the new year to hear Attorney Tom Skinner talk about legal issues that affect Homeowners Associ.ations.   It was nice to see a good representation of HOA Presidents around the lake take advantage of Tom's expertise.  .  A lengthy Q&A followed and property rights for primary and secondary owners, covenants, and liens were freely discussed.   A takeaway if you live in an HOA, make sure the covenants are updated.   Seek legal counsel, as appropriate.

Our guest Speaker is Mr. Tom Skinner of William T Skinner IV, Attorney-at-Law.

The topic is HOA's in NC.  He will talk about legal issues that affect Home Owner Associations; especially instituting prohibitions on short term rentals into the Covenants.  Bring your Virginia questions too.  Q&A to follow.
