LGA latest new and announcements
Director Dave Murphy

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our friend, colleague, and Halifax County LGA director, Dave Murphy.

This photo was taken in February 2020, at a routine monthly meeting. Dave was our featured presenter and techno-geek and was in his element talking about Raspberry Pi. Dave was also a strong proponent of the middle school STEM (Science, Technical Engineering, and Math) program. Dave also found time to serve his community as a Logistics Lead, Northeastern Chapter, American Red Cross. Just three weeks ago he was scouting emergency shelter locations in our area prior to the start of the severe weather season.

The family requests donations in Dave's memory be sent to the attention of

Navigational Lights are now installed on the Eaton's Ferry Bridge.   This will make navigation under the bridge safer at night.
