Meeting Information

The November 7 Lake Gaston Association’s monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. will feature Jessica Baumann, Lake Manager, Aquatic Plant Management Program, NC State University.

Her presentation will cover some of the summer and fall activities that have been occurring around the lake. Including updates on Hydrilla and Lyngbya treatments; Hydrilla issues within Lizard Creek; the volunteer re-vegetation project; and comments on the Fall Lake Survey. Q&A will follow.

And, Jodie Dowhan, John 3:16 Center Board Chair, will kick off their annual Christmas Toy Drive.

All of our meetings provide an opportunity to get caught up on the various activities that the LGA Committees – Public Safety, Lake Environment, Government Relations, Education, Marketing and Membership and Lake Clean-Up – are working on. If you have a lake-related issue or concern that the LGA should be working on? There will be time allotted on the agenda to present those concerns to the LGA Board.

LGA meetings are open to the public, members and non-members, so mark your calendar and plan now to attend. Members are encouraged to bring a friend or neighbor who has an investment in Lake Gaston but might not be aware of the LGA’s efforts to protect that investment. In addition the LGA meeting is an opportunity to present any lake-related issues or concerns to the LGA Board and to hear about recent activities and updates from LGA committees:
